The European Innovation Council (EIC) is Europe’s most ambitious innovation flagship initiative, with € 10.1 billion earmarked to help Europe’s most talented innovators quickly and efficiently scale ground-breaking, game-changing innovations.
EICs are a single point of contact for ground-breaking innovators, providing support from idea to market, from early-stage advanced research to commercialisation and scaling-up.
The EIC Infoday in Sophia will focus in particular on the EIC Accelerator Scheme, which supports start-ups and SMEs to develop and scale up deep-tech and disruptive innovative products or services at an advanced technological level (TRL 6-9). The EIC supports Europe’s most talented innovators through a combination of grant funding (up to €2.5 million for innovation development costs) and equity investment (up to €15 million).
During the Info Day, EIC representatives will provide detailed explanation on the various available funding schemes, and application process. The programme will be complimented by testimonials from successful EIC beneficiaries from Bulgaria and presentation from a representative of the Bulgarian Ministry of Innovation and Growth on the national support of EIC Seal of Excellence companies. The info day will conclude with session on pithing techniques and pitch deck preparation.
