We are pleased to highlight an important achievement by the Access2EIC project: the publication of the Annotated Template for the EIC Accelerator Short Proposal (2026 edition), a new practical resource designed to support high-quality applications to the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator.
Developed through a strong collaborative effort among Access2EIC partners, the document builds on the extensive experience of the National Contact Point (NCP) community across Europe. By consolidating feedback, lessons learned, and real-world insights from multiple organisations, Access2EIC has delivered a guide that enhances clarity, consistency, and usability in the preparation of short proposals.
Why this publication matters
The short proposal is the first and decisive step in the EIC Accelerator application process. With this annotated template, Access2EIC provides applicants and advisors with:
- A clear explanation of each section of the short proposal
- Practical recommendations, clarifications, and examples aligned with the 2026 call
- Guidance on key evaluation criteria, including deep-tech novelty, TRL, IP strategy, market and competitive analysis, team capacity, investment needs, and the rationale for EU support
The structure mirrors the official European Commission template, making the document a reliable companion for both applicants and NCPs.
As EEN2EIC, we welcome this contribution to the EIC support ecosystem.
