SUMMARY:EIC Pre-Accelerator Info Day – A New Opportunity for Deep Tech Startups in Widening Countries
DESCRIPTION:An Online Info Day dedicated to the EIC Pre-Accelerator\, an initiative of the EEN2EIC Project\, will take place on: \nDate: 09 July 2025\nTime: 14:30–15:40 CEST\nFormat: Online \nThe event will introduce the pilot EIC Pre-Accelerator call\, a joint initiative of the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the WIDERA programme\, funded under Horizon Europe’s 2025 Work Programme. This new initiative targets early-stage deep-tech startups in Widening Countries\, with the objective of enhancing their business\, investor\, and technology readiness. It also aims to support them in accessing follow-on funding\, including the EIC Accelerator. \nKey topics to be addressed during the session include: \nThe objectives\, concept\, and structure of the EIC Pre-Accelerator \nThe proposal template and application requirements \nThe lump sum funding scheme \nA dedicated Q&A session with participants \nThe Info Day is designed for Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) partners in Widening Countries and their client companies\, particularly those working in the deep-tech sector and looking to strengthen their innovation capacity and access EU funding opportunities. \nFeatured Speakers\nThe session will include presentations from representatives of the European Commission and the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA)\, who will share insights on the strategic purpose of the Pre-Accelerator: \nEwa Kocińska-Lange\, Policy Officer\, EIC Unit\, DG Research & Innovation\, European Commission \nNancy Herrera Ortiz\, Project Adviser\, EISMEA \nThe agenda will also highlight the cooperation between the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and the National Contact Points (NCPs) through the EEN2EIC and Access2EIC initiatives\, which work together to support companies throughout the EIC application process. \nParticipation in this session will be particularly relevant for startups and innovation actors in Widening Countries seeking to understand this new funding instrument and how to engage with it. \nAgenda and Registration link: https://eveeno.com/216421519
